  My life as a Journalism student at Cavendish University Uganda.   Born in South Sudan and mostly raised in Nansana, Uganda, i grew up navigating two cultures. I’m fluent in Luganda, and most of the time feel deeply connected to my Ugandan upbringing while carrying the pride of my South Sudanese heritage. This dual identity has given me a unique perspective as a budding journalist, one who oftens channels his thoughts into his stories.     Life at Cavendish University Uganda   My time at CUU had been transformative. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Another definition would be that Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community.  About 50 students from different faculties attended this workshop in hopes of achieving guidance on mental health. Uganda Cranes Qualify for AFCON 2025. Cavendish University Students Share Their Excitement   Cavendish University Uganda was buzzing with excitement this week following the news that the Uganda Cranes have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025,which is set to be hosted in Morocco after a hard-fought victory against their neighbors the Republic of South Sudan. The Cranes secured their place in the continental tournament with a thrilling 2-1 victory over South Sudan on moday the 14th in South Sudan’s own backyard. This marks the Cranes' first qualification for AFCON since 2019, and the students on campus could not be more thrilled. The news spread like wildfire across the University, with celebrations breaking out in the hostels, study halls, and common areas. Students who had followed the qualification campaign closely were particularly proud of the national team’s achievement, as they now look forward to seeing Uganda compete on the continental stage.
